Frequently Asked Questions

LPA-PKP (Comprehensive Health Services Accreditation Agency) is the agency authorized to conduct accreditation for health care facilities—such as community health centers (Puskesmas), clinics, health laboratories, and blood transfusion units—in accordance with standards set by the government.

Accreditation aims to improve the quality of care, ensure patient safety, improve the management of healthcare facilities, and ensure that services comply with applicable national standards.

  • Community Health Center
  • Primary Care Clinics and Major Clinics
  • Health Laboratory
  • Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD)
  • Private Medical Practices (TPMD) and Private Dental Practices (TPMDG)

In accordance with Ministry of Health Regulation No. 34 of 2022, the initial accreditation is valid for 2 years, and subsequent periodic accreditations are conducted every 5 years.

Following the accreditation survey, healthcare facilities may be granted one of the following statuses:

  • Basics
  • Intermediate
  • Home
  • Plenary Session

Healthcare facilities that have obtained mandatory accreditation status:

  • Implementing the recommended improvements
  • Complete and submit the Strategic Improvement Program (PPS) to the accrediting body and the relevant health department
  • Implementing continuous improvements in accordance with established standards
