A Brief History

The Comprehensive Health Services Accreditation Agency was established on May 9, 2022, in Jakarta, in accordance with the provisions of the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. HK 01.07/MENKES/32/2023 Regarding the Accreditation Agency for Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), Clinics, Public Health Laboratories, Blood Transfusion Units, TPMD, and TPMDG. This agency is a legal entity organized as an association under the name LPA–PKP (Comprehensive Health Services Accreditation Agency).

This institution was founded by health experts, practitioners, and public health organizations. LPA PKP is committed to improving the quality and equity of health services in Indonesia and conducts accreditation assessments of community health centers (Puskesmas), clinics, health laboratories, blood transfusion units, private medical and dental practices, and other assignments from the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Objectives of the LPA PKP

To support the government’s program to improve the quality and safety of patient care and public health in primary care through the accreditation of Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), clinics, health laboratories, Blood Transfusion Units (UTD), Private Medical Practices (TPMD) and Private Dental Practices (TPMG), as well as other assignments from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, in an accountable manner and in accordance with the targets set by the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

Functions of the LPA-PKP

  1. A forum for a group of people to collaborate on the accreditation of Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), clinics, health laboratories, Blood Transfusion Units (UTD), Private Medical Practices (TPMD) and Private Dental Practices (TPMG), as well as other assignments from the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
  2. Providing guidance, rules, and a division of labor regarding what members of the organization should and should not do.
  3. Enhancing the skills and abilities of association members in securing resources and support from the community.
  4. To provide knowledge and foster intellectual growth among all members of the association and its network.
